Projects
Zertis produces applications varying greatly in terms of complexity. They vary from small forms-over-data applications to common line-of-business apps to mobile point-of-sale apps. Technological Requirements
Zertis is primarily concerned with choosing appropriate tools to meet client needs. This has led us recently into the node.js stack, so serious JavaScript development is expected.
While not a pure Microsoft shop, Zertis still develops using .NET and supports the Microsoft stack, including ASP.NET MVC, Web Forms and popular Open Source projects such as Castle, NHibernate, and others.
Ruby is frequently used so familiarity with it is a plus. Rails experience will be helpful.
You will be writing database queries, domain models, infrastructural tools, and web-based interfaces so of course that means you have command of the languages commonly used for each concern.
Familiarity or experience is helpful with the following concepts:
- Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Command-Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS)
- Object/Relational Mapping
- NoSQL persistence
- SOLID development principles
- Architectural and Design patterns
- Messaging patterns
- Mobile web application development
- RESTful API design
We are simply looking for smart people who are pleasant to work with, so if our work sounds attractive but you feel like you are short on anything above, we’d still like to hear from you.
